Packaging
The Avon Aero Volume Mascara comes in a plastic blue tube with silver detailing on it. The packaging feels a little cheap and didn’t really attract me so much. However, as long as the mascara works well, I can make do with cheap packaging but then this costs 700 bucks and I expected something more fancier. The mascara comes with a star shaped wire brush ie the bristles are in the shape of a star which claims to create a vertical lift though it looks like just another mascara wand to me.

Formula & Shades
The consistency of the Avon AeroVolume Mascara is very lightweight and it does not weigh down the lashes. I almost always forget when I apply this that I have mascara on as it feels very natural. The shade of the Avon mascara isn’t the blackest of black but is more of an in between shade, thus perfect for daily wear or when you prefer a more natural look to the office.

Efficacy
Looking at the claims, I was expecting the Aero Volume Mascara to give me good volume however, despite using 2-3 coats it only manages to define my lashes a bit and works better as a lengthening mascara as opposed to one providing volume. I’m not blessed with thick or dense lashes and the mascara does nothing for me. Its probably a decent everyday mascara which gives a good curl and length but not alot of volume.

Staying Power
The Avon Aero Volume Mascara lasts for a good amount of time. I have worn this for about 6-7 hours and it did not budge or bleed. It is also waterproof hence suitable for girls who can get a little teary- eyed from time to time 🙂 Even when I accidentally rub my eyes, the mascara stays put so pretty impressed with the wear time.

For the price of Rs 699 I find the mascara to be very average as it doesn’t provide any volume. Its a good basic everyday mascara but then I would rather opt for the Lakme Eyeconic Mascara which is almost 1/3rd its price and performs better.

3) Lightweight consistency and does not weigh down the lashes

Cons of Avon AeroVolume Mascara
1) Not the blackest of blacks
2) Does not add any volume
3) Too pricey for the results
HBM Rating
HBM Recommendation: Avon AeroVolume Mascara is a good everyday mascara which curls the lashes well and lengthens them. However, it will not do much for you if you have sparse lashes as it barely provides any volume. For the price, I expected much better results and there are far better options available in the market at a lesser price.
