Diwali Makeup Tutorial: Classic Smokey Eyemakeup with Nude Lips!
I bet you all are having a good time with all the Diwali card parties and so many weddings happening these days. I have a few lined up to attend in December and I’m so excited. I was looking for some inspiration to create festive makeup looks and then I came across a video by MAC Cosmetics celebrating Mickey Contractor‘s 35+ years in Bollywood. Mickey Contractor is one of the best makeup artists and his MAC collection has to be my favorite till date. He created the iconic Bollywood Smokey Eyes in the video and I was really tempted to give it a try.
Diwali Makeup Tutorial: Smokey Eyes & Neutral Lips
Below is the the festive Diwali Makeup I came up with, inspired by the video. I used some of the cult MAC products to create the look. I didn’t do a step by step tutorial for the look as it cannot get better than seeing the master himself create it so do have a look at the video below.

Nothing is more sensual and glamorous than this classic black somkey eye. To create the look, I used the MAC Blacktrack Fluidline as a base for an intense finish and also to fill in my waterline. The key to a flawless smokey eye is blending and for this I used MAC eyeshadow in Folie which is just the perfect shade for the crease. This festive makeup look is not only perfect for Diwali but for any special occasion.

I skipped the blush and contoured + highlighted my cheeks. Keep the lips neutral to compliment the bold eyes and I opted for MAC lip pencil in Spice. Its a color that has been popular for years but in recent times its always been sold out ever since Kylie Jenner was seen wearing it.
