Clinique always packages their products beautifully be it their pop blushes or soft matte lipsticks and the Pop Matte Lip Colours are no different. They have a silver matte casing with a color coded bottom which eases identification. I love the fact that it has a cuboid packaging making it very convenient to stack them up. Those who have a big lipstick collection would understand the pain of rounded caps. The cap shuts tightly and will not come of in your handbag, making it travel friendly.

What sets the Pop Matte Lip Colour apart is the beautiful texture. It has a smooth and creamy consistency which applies like a dream. Unlike most matte lipsticks that leave the lips parched, this hydrates and nourishes them which is probably due to the built in primers. You need not worry about fine lines or chapped lips this winters if you have this in your kitty. However, the Clinique Pop Lipsticks do not have a flat matte finish but something in between, like a soft matte which will be loved by those with dry lips.

I have 2 Pop Matte Lip Colours- Cute Pop & Shock Pop. Cute pop is a neutral mauve toned lip color that makes for the perfect everyday lipstick. I have been wearing this almost every other day and it looks like a very close dupe of Kylie’s Posie K on me, minus the super drying finish ofcourse. Shock Pop on the other hand is a vivid berry pink perfect for fall. Both the shades will compliment the warm Indian skintone well.

Pigmentation & Staying Power
The Clinqiue Pop Matte Lip Colour + Primer delivers a saturated pigmentation in a single swipe. Lighter colors like Cute Pop need a couple of swipes but they hide lip pigmentation well. The wear time is commendable with the lighter colors staying put for a solid 4 hours and the darker ones start to fade away after 6 hours. They even survive small snacks and drinks but you will need a touch up after a full meal.
