The first thing that really attracted me to the Revlon ShadowLinks was the unique concept of making your own palette and the freedom of choice it provided. Its a great idea and will be extremely helpful while travelling as I hate carrying a palette for one particular shade.

The eyeshadow has a ‘slide’ of sorts on the side where you can link the other shades. You can choose and link any shade that you want and even create different styles of a ‘palette’ Ain’t that cool? 😀 The lid shuts tightly and will not open up in your bag. The Shadowlinks also link tightly and will not come off or drop!

Revlon ShadowLinks Gold is a gorgeous mid toned gold eyeshadow with a metallic finish. I love such golds as they go really well with ethnic wear and look equally good when worn all over the lid with heavily kohl-ed eyes.

Texture
The eyeshadow has a smooth and soft texture unlike Plum & Onyx. It isn’t buttery but is definitely softer and much more stain-y compared to the other shades. Gold blends easily and I did not face any fallout with it.

Pigmentation
This is where Revlon Gold disappoints! It is not highly pigmented and requires effort to build up the color. With an eyeshadow base its quite vibrant and pigmented but without a base it certainly doesn’t show up that easily in a swipe or 2.

Staying Power
It lasts upto 4-5 hours without a base after which it starts creasing.The wear time is much better compared to the other shades and for the price I think the wear time was quite good! With a primer underneath it easily lasts upto 6-7hours which is perfect if you want to wear this to a party or need to wear eye shadows for a long duration of time!
