As you all know the Maybelline Glitter Mania Nail Paints were launched a few weeks backs and gained instant popularity. I bought 5 shades and I’m ready to review 2 of them today- Bling On The Blue & Red Carpet. I’m the laziest person when it comes to reviewing nail paints simply because I have weak nails which chip easily hence they are never long. I have finally made peace with the length as I do want to be the last person on the planet to review these nail polishes (I still haven’t reviewed any of the regular Colorshow Nail Polishes you see)

The Maybelline Glitter Mania Nail Polishes comes in the regular Colorshow packaging ie a round transparent glass bottle with a black cap. It comes with a great quality brush which fans out appropriately and applies the product evenly. I love the look of the Glitter Mania Nail Paints– cute, fuss free and convenient!

Texture
The texture of these Maybelline Glitter Polishes is of medium consistency, neither too runny nor too gloopy. The apply evenly and dry easily. I am actually surprised how fast these dry on the nails and that makes sure I have a perfect manicure which is pretty rare for me as I keep moving my hands here or there!
It has sand textured and matte finish which looks great. The best part is the play of shimmer in a matte finish which is different and attractive in my opinion. This is not the first time a brand has come out with textured nailpaints but what makes it the best is the price! Most of the similar nail paints are priced 2-3 times higher!

Pigmentation
Most of the Maybelline Glitter Mania Nail Polishes give good coverage. However, 2 coats will give an opaque and even coverage. In the NOTD I’m wearing only a single coat of Bling On The Blue and you can see just how good the coverage is!
Staying Power
The Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Nail Paints have an amazing wear time. I used to think that glitter nail paints do not last a long time after I tried out the L’oreal variant but I was so wrong. Maybelline Glitter Mania Nail Polishes last upto 3 days after which you will notice slight chipping. Some shades like Bling On The Blue last longer but other shades like Red Carpet & All That Glitters gave me only 3 days of a chip free manicure!

Maybelline Bling On The Blue is a pale periwinkle blue with silver shimmer and hexes. It instantly jazzes up my hands and looks uber pretty when paired with denims! Since the color is a bit pale it can make your hands looks darker and might look OTT on dark/tanned hands! My hands have a tanned quite a but I still like wearing it.

Maybelline Glitter Nail Polish ‘Bling On The Blue’ went almost 5 days without chipping and still looked pretty “polished” after 7 days. Though I got bored after a week and had to remove it. The removal part is a story I shall tell another day :p

Maybelline Red Carpet is a very pretty tomato red with red and gold shimmer. The gold shimmer is quite prominent in the bottle however it does not translate onto the nails. You will only notice red shimmer which I quite prefer. A red nail polish with gold shimmer could’ve been a bit tacky! It has a matte finish and lasts upto 3 days after which the tips start chipping. Unlike Bling On The Blue this makes my hands look lighter and will definitely suit tanned hands!

Then only con I see is the removal. Removing glitter nail polishes is such a pain and the whole process takes forever. However, that does not mean I’ll take away points from these affordable babies. They are JUST PERFECT!

It applies evenly, lasts a good amount of days and is easy on the pocket. Bling On The Blue is a gorgeous perwinkle blue with silver shimmer and looks lovely when paired with denims. Red Carpet is a red nail paint with red shimmer and brightens up the hands. The Glitter Mania range consists of 8 shades and you’re bound to find one to your liking. Highly Recommended!
