Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Coquette Review, Swatches, Price & Buy Online in India
I officially love lip crayons! Yeah It took me more than an year to realize it but I think the major credit goes to the Revlon Colorburst Lip Crayons as this is probably the only range of chubby sticks that I have regularly used! I totally love the convenience that a lip crayon provides- you can easily line your lips with it and then fill them in plus touch ups are so very easy! Today I’m going to review a wearable pretty pink from Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Range- 110 Coquette

The Revlon Lacquer Lip Crayon comes in a convenient twist up chubby stick packaging with a metallic finish. The lip crayon is color coded according to the shade which eases identification. I love that its a retractable pencil hence saves alot of product from being wasted while sharpening and makes it travel friendly.
Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms have a beautiful texture which is light yet hydrating. It does not settle into lip lines and gives a lustrous finish which is not exactly hi shine like a gloss but something that makes your lips look glossy and healthy!
Revlon Lacquer Balm ‘Coquette’ is a beautiful pink which is not too warm toned or cool toned but will flatter majorly those with fair complexion but I think those upto NC 42 could still rock it with a heavy eye makeup. It has very fine shimmer particles but it isn’t that noticeable unless you look closely. The color is quite wearable and is extremely flattering on fair skintones.
The lip crayon is decently pigmented though I wouldn’t say it will easily cover pigmentation of lips. Coquette gives moderate coverage and I find it pretty similar to Lakme Gloss Addict ‘Pink Temptation’ in terms of pigmentation. Those with highly pigmented lip will definitely require a lip pencil underneath.
Since the pigmentation is average hence the staying power isn’t that long lasting! I get a wear time of about 3 hours and considering its a light color I find the staying power to be decent. It survives smalls meals and snacks but I do require a touch up after drinks or a full meal.
Worth the money?
I have previously complained about the price in my swatch posts and reviews but to be honest the quality is definitely worth it though I would’ve liked it more had it been around 600 bucks. I want to buy more shades from the range and would probably wait for some decent offers on the same.
1) A beautiful pink lip crayon which is wearable and girly
2) Extremely flattering on fairer skintones
3) Hydrating yet lighweight
4) Decent pigmentation which covers moderate pigmentation of lips
5) Decent Staying Power
6) Classy packaging which does not require sharpening
1) Quite expensive for a drugstore brand
2) Will not flatter dusky skin tone or those with extremely pigmented lips
HBM Recommendation: Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm ‘ Coquette’ is a beautiful and girly pink which will flatter those with lighter complexions beautifully! It has a moisturizing texture along with a lustrous finish which makes your lips look healthy. Coquette has a decent wear time, pigmentation and coverage. The only issue is the price and the fact that it won’t suit wheatish to dusky women so I suggest you try this at the store before buying it 🙂
