I’m so excited for the post today as I’m going to review one of the best pink lipsticks I’ve come across in a long time. The lipstick in question is Maybelline Pink Alert in POW 2. Packaging
The Maybelline Pink Alert Lipsticks come in a pretty pink lipstick packaging with a plastic wrapping screaming “Pink Alert”. It has a color coded sticker below along with the shade name to ease identification. I really like the pink packaging and find it girly and attractive. The cap shuts tightly and won’t come off in your bag.
Shade
Maybelline Pink Alert POW 2 is a GORGEOUS hot pink shade with a slight neon undertone. Its extremely pretty and has a warmness to it making it suitable for all skin tones especially the Indian skintone! If there ever was a perfect pink then POW 2 would be the best candidate. It at times reminds me of MAC Impassioned lipstick!
BTW I’m wondering what POW stands for? Is it Power of Women? :p Let me know if you have any idea!
Texture
One of the best qualities of the Maybelline Pink Alert Lipsticks is their beautiful texture. They are extremely buttery and instantly hydrate the lips. It does not settle into fine lines and give a glossy finish hence making the lips look fuller and juicier!
I’m sure this will melt alot in the Indian summers so get ready to refrigerate these in the coming months. Maybelline POW 2 does transfer a little due to the creamy texture and that is the only con I could find with it!
Pigmentation
Maybelline Pink Alert POW 2 lipstick is extremely pigmented and you get an opaque finish 1-2 swipes. It will adequately cover any pigmentation of the lips so those with pigmented lips will reach for this often!
Staying Power
Being a creamy lipstick I did not expect this to last long on my lips but boy did it prove me wrong. It easily stays put for about 5 hours and survives small snacks and meals beautifully! Even after 5 hours it leaves a strong pink stain hence you do not require an immediate touch up.

2) Has a creamy and buttery texture which adequately moisturizes the lips
