Its freezing cold in Delhi these days and I’m hating every bit of it. I absolutely detest winters and I cannot wait for warmer days. How have you all been doing? Today I have the Lakme Eyeconic Brown Kajal in the spotlight. I know many of you were excited about this shade the most so here I am to review it for you girlies 😀

Packaging
The Lakme Brown Kajal comes in the same packaging as the Green one. Black with cyan imprints and it is identified as ‘Brown’ at the end of the pencil. The cap shuts tightly and will not come off in your bag making it travel friendly. I absolutely love Lakme for making these retractable colored pencils which saves alot of product however I do wish all shades were color coded like the White Kajal to ease identification.

Shade
It is a matte deep chocolate-y brown which is perfect for ladies who don’t want to look OTT at the workplace yet want to define their eyes.The Eyeconic Brown Kajal will easily show up on light-to medium skintones but dusky beauties might need to conceal their lids to get a good color pay off!

Texture & Pigmentation
The kajal has a very soft and creamy texture but it is not overly creamy like the white so it does not break during application.It does not tug or pull during application and glides smoothly on the lids.
I wouldnt say it is highly pigmented as the Green Kajal but you get a decent pigmentation in a single swipe and you can build it up to an opaque finish in 2-3 swipes.

Staying Power
The Lakme Eyeconic Brown Kajal has a pretty good staying power and stays put on my eyelids for more than 7-8 hours after which it starts smudging/fading. I have extremely watery eyes and it stays put for about 4-5 hrs on my waterline which is pretty decent. For reference I have normal lids 🙂

This felt very comfortable on my waterline and did not irritate my eyes at all! Once set Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Brown is totally smudge and waterproof.

Pros
1) A matte deep brown which defines the eyes well yet it is subtle enough for office wear
2) It has a creamy and soft texture which does not break
3) Does not tug during application and glides on like a dream
4) Decently pigmented and easily shows up on the waterline
5) Long lasting and stays put for about 8 hours on my lids which is superb!
6) It is smudge proof and water resistant
7) The cheapest retractable colored pencil in the Indian market!

1) Does not deliver on the 10 hr claim
2) Dusky beauties might need to conceal their eyes well for it show up better

 HBM Recommendation: Lakme Eyeconic Brown Kajal is a gorgeous chocolate-y brown and since it is matte is is perfect for office wear. The kajal is decently pigmented and long lasting making it a perfect  brown liner. The affordable price tag is totally the icing on the cake so go grab this if you love brown liners!
