I’ve always been an ardent fan of subscription boxes in India majorly because of the surprise element. You always end up trying out products that you might not usually pick up. Or in the case of jewellery subscription boxes, you get to experiment with different styles and trends often. Recently, My Envy Box sent their August Designer Jewelry which contains beautiful gold plated jewellery. Usually, I steer clear of the yellow metal, but the ‘Dhora’ jewellery was so elegant yet traditional that I wanted to style it the very next day.

Dhora is the brainchild of Aavriti R Jain which offers a unique signature style that is bold and contemporary. Conceptualized in Milan, Dhora is inspired by the province of Rajasthan and brings handcrafted jewellery made in Jaipur which is unique, classy and minimalist.

The August Envy Box consists of 2 pieces exclusively from the label ‘Dhora’. Here is a closer look at them.

Gold Jhumkis: Rs 3,500
Inspired by the traditional jewelry of India, Dhora gave it their own little twist. This pair of jhumkis is more minimalist, classy and sophisticated hence can be worn with both Indian and western outfits. One no longer has to wait for a big wedding or occasion to rock a pair of gorgeous jhumkis.

Amber Pendant: Rs 3,000
The beautiful gold pendant draws its inspiration from the architectural details found at the Amber Fort and its jharokas. The piece is made entirely by hand in the city of Jaipur and is finished with gold. This is a contemporary piece which harmonizes the classical tradition of Jaipur with modern interpretation of ancient aesthetics and techniques.

While this month’s Envy + NIMAI box only contains 2 pieces of jewellery instead of the usual 3, the value was worth almost thrice the amount of the jewelry subscription box. I loved the traditional yet versatile designs which can be worn in many different ways with different outfits. If you’re into designer jewelry, this is one subscription box you shouldn’t miss out!
