Bourjois Ombre à paupières Eye Shadow 12 Bleu Magnetique Review, Swatches & Pictures

Bourjois Ombre à paupières Eye Shadow 12 Bleu Magnetique Review, Swatches & Pictures

Hi Beauties,

Hope you all had a fabulous NYE! We’ve had relatives over at our place and its been really hard trying to squeeze in a post. Today, I’m quickly gonna review the other Bourjois eyeshadow I bought in my Birthday Haul- Bourjois Ombre à paupières Eye Shadow 12 Bleu Magnetique. I have already reviewed Bourjois Ombre à paupières 02 and it was actually my first review on HBM so don’t forget to check that out as well!

Product Description
New silkier formula, new hot shades!
Bourjois has used the revolutionary “baked technology” since 1863 to
give its eyeshadows an ultra soft, light and easy-to-blend formula. Dont
be shy, apply as much colour as you want for a luminous result.

Price: 445 for 1.5gms
Availability: Available at Bourjois Counters, Parcos stores and online on  Medplusbeauty

Packaging
Bourjois Ombre à paupières Eye Shadow12comes in an adorable little round compact packaging which is the same color as the eyeshadow itself. Due to the color coded packaging it is easier to locate a particular shade if you’re in a hurry or have a cluttered makeup stash like me :p It comes with a double ended sponge applicator and a tiny mirror inside which is great for touch ups. Overall, I’m really fond of the packaging and I find it super attractive, cute and travel friendly.

Shade
Shade Bleu Magnetique (12) might look like a pretty navy blue shade in the pan but it is more of a purplish-blue shade upon swatching. It contains slight multi colored shimmer which is very fine and not that noticeable.Bleu Magnetique sort of has a metallic sheen when used wet. This is the kind of shade which looks pretty even when used on its own and looks amazing on Indian skin tone!

Texture
Bourjois Ombre à paupières 12 has a soft and smooth texture which blends like a dream. However, I did find these a bit harder compared to shade 02 even though they are of the same range. Maybe I should scratch the surface a bit the next time I use it. It is a bit powdery and does result in fall out but nothing major that will make you re-do your base!

Pigmentation
I was definitely a bit disappointed in the pigmentation department. It’s very averagely pigmented when used dry and you definitely require a base underneath if you plan on using these dry. You get the true color and high pigmentation when used wet so just moist a synthetic eyeshadow brush to get the best out of this eyeshadow. The color you get when you use this wet is magnificent and uber pretty *_*

Staying Power
Bourjois Eyeshadow #12 has a decent staying power that stays put for about 3-4 hours after which it loses intensity and starts creasing. The wear time is alot better when used over a primer or wet so for parties when you need to wear eyeshadows for a longer period of time I strongly suggest using this wet.

Worth the price?
Bourjois eyeshadows are priced a bit higher compared to other single eyeshadow available in the market but I do think the price is worth it. Though this does lack in pigmentation when used dry but its an absolute winner when used wet. So if you’re on the lookout for a good quality baked eyeshadow then you must check this out!

Pros
1) A beautiful deep purple which looks stunning on the eyes. Just love this particular shade!
2) Can be used both dry and wet
3) Has a smooth and soft texture
4) Intensely pigmented when used wet
5) Long staying and does not crease for minimum 4 hours
6) Comes with an applicator and mirror which eases touch ups
7) Provides a huge variety of colors and finishes

Cons
1) It is not intensely pigmented when used wet
2) It is a wee bit costly for a single eyeshadow

HBM Rating

HBM Recommendation: Bourjois Ombre à paupières Eye Shadow 12 Bleu Magnetique is a beautiful purplish-blue shade which has a soft texture, is well pigmented(with a base) and has a good wear time. It can also be used wet which gives an intense pigmentation and longer staying power. The eyeshadow is a bit expensive but totally worth the price tag. I highly recommend it!
