Maybelline Cheeky Glow Peachy Sweetie Blush Review & Swayches: MAC Fleur Power Dupe
Maybelline is probably the only brand in India that still introduces great quality products with a super affordable price tag. Be it their kohls, liners, nailpaints or now blushes. They recently introduced 3 gorgeous shades and called them Cheeky Glow. Cute,no?
It is an ultra light weight and silky blush
It is a blendable powder blush
Gives a glow with natural finish to the cheeks
The blush comes in a cute and small round plastic casing with a transparent lid on top.The blush is tiny though it contains a huge amount of product which will last me forever. It does not contain a mirror or a brush so you will have to carry them separately incase you need to touch it up. Also, the packaging feels sort of flimsy and I’m pretty sure this will crack if I accidentally drop it. But then it costs ONLY 250 bucks and I can’t really complain.
I chose the shade ‘Peachy Sweetie’ which is a gorgeous pinky peach with a hint of coral. It contains very fine shimmer which is only visible if you look at it too closely otherwise it just gives a soft sheen on the face. This will suit fair to medium skintone beautifully and will look very natural on them but I doubt if this will show up on dusky beauties.
It has a soft and satiny texture and does not feel powdery or chalky. It also does not kick up alot of product when you dab a brush on it. The blush blends effortlessly and does not accentuate the pores.
Peachy Sweetie is well pigmented but not overly pigmented. You can build this up in 2-3 swipes which is great for beginners as there are less chances of going overboard with it and ending up like a clown :p
The Maybelline Cheeky Glow blushes have a pretty average staying power. These last upto 3-4 hours after which it fades completely and requires a touch up. Thus, these aren’t apt for party wear where you require a long staying blush and are more suitable during the day for a trip to the mall, coffee date etc.
This is also a close dupe of MAC’s Fleur Power Blush. They both look fairly similar in the pan and pretty much have the same texture and the only difference is that Fleur Power is more pigmented. So if you’re not willing to spend almost 1.5k on Fleur Power then you should certainly check this out!
1)A gorgeous peachy pink shade which is a dupe of MAC’s Fleur Power blush
2)Soft and satiny texture which blends like a dream
4)Perfect for beginners or those on a budget
5)Super Cheap. I can’t believe there is a blush that costs only 250 in India
1)Average Staying Power
2)Does not contain a brush or mirror(just nitpicking)
Final Recommendation: Maybelline’s Cheeky Glow Blush in the shade Peachy Sweetie is a gorgeous peachy pink with a hint of coral. Its perfect for college goers, girls on a budget and beginners who are just starting to dabble in makeup.
